Headquarters.
till the 17th Oct Reveille went at 3.30 Am marched off at 5.0.Am from Newcastle 15 miles out to cover a convoy and we halted for 4 hours after doing our 15 mls and then we came back to Umbana Hill the same night.

18th Oct
We made for Newcastle a matter of about 11 miles got in at 6.P.m and then we was told that we could some hot water at the cook house then after doing 10 miles they had the cheek to lowance us out with a pint of hot water and no more if you wanted it.

From 18th of October we went to take a convoy from Newcastle to Utrecht and the sent the left Half of my Coy to Mx Hill and the

other half to Umbana, and we stopped there till the 24th of October then went back to Newcastle again.

On the 27th Oct we were under canvas when it came on to rain and completely washed us out as we had no trenches round our tents and the majority of the men had to sit up alnight to daylight the next morning.

10th November
Left Newcastle at 3.Am to march to Umbana to take a convoy to Utrecht we had only been on the move when it came down heavens hard to rain and had to stop on the Hill all the next day with our things wet.

12th November
Left Umbana Hill at 5.Pm got in there at 8.Pm at night.
